Post by CarrieJust look at how these supposedly enlightened people are
behaving.
Can you imagine Jesus acting like that?
The proof is in the pudding.
If it walks like a nasty religious bigot, and it talks like a
nasty religious bigot, it most certainly is a nasty religious
bigot.
Need more evidence? My troll filter kills about half their
posts.

I tend to feel the same way about people. Till I remember I
am only responsible for myself and how *I* am.
Where do you see me attempting to assume the responsibility for
another person's actions?
Just by what you wrote here.
How you are seeing the people here, and them "not" living what you
believe their believes are and not being what you think they should be.
I said I can see how you'd feel that way, and I have done it, too
(and not just with ACIM, but with other groups and those who call themselves
"Christians"). But, it's still my choice in how I am seeing them (and how I
think they are) and I can change my mind and see them differently. And I
have, at times. I can even see it as "they aren't living their beliefs, the
way I THINK they should, and so what? No big deal"
I always have the choice in how I see something and someone else.
Like we all do. Just because this doesn't totally agree with your choice
doesn't make it wrong. Just "my way" (this seems like such a simple concept)
Some here seem to be seeing you as crazy, and a troll looking to
argue. I can see why. They could, instead, see you as someone wanting to
know, to find out, and letting them know (feedback) what your opinion of
them (and ACIM) is. It's their choice, too.
We have gone over this before and apparently you don't understand
the point, or don't want to, you are so caught up in your beliefs and point
of view and how you are seeing it (on the monitor on your computer, in words
you are reading, perceiving/interpretating and judging the people who write
them from your beliefs and point of view). This isn't written in concrete
and absolute. It's just how you are choosing to see it, for whatever reason.
Going round in circles and back and forth about this with you is
(in my perception and how I see it) a waste of time. To me, you will make
anyone wrong and argue about something just because it's where you're coming
from and how you want to be, for whatever reason. You must get something
personal out of it, in some way, otherwise why do it.
You make your choices and I make mine. So, in that way, you are a
good teacher here.
Post by Sidney LambeGod gave me a mind to use. So I use it to assess the world as
accurately as I can.
If I sit down on the grass in the park and it turns out there's
a pile of fresh dog turds nearby, I say "that stinks". Because
it does.
Anyone who tells me that it is wrong to use the mind that God
gave me to assess the world and make judgements about it, is
incredibly stupid and ignorant and probably shouldn't be
allowed out of the house.
So I truly hope that I am misunderstanding you.
