Discussion:
The Rebirth of talk.religion.course-miracle
(too old to reply)

This newsgroup was dead before I started posting
here.

Then I read the so-called "A Course In Miracles" (ACIM)

http://courseinmiracles.com/urtext/

and was shocked and appalled to discover that it
was just fundamentalist Christianity in a New-Age
costume.

The same old spiritually poisonous anti-Truths
obscured by double-speak and mumbo-jumbo.

Now, that I've started posting my honest assessments of this
garbage document, the group is suddenly teeming with activity.

Religious fanatics do NOT like having their pet beliefs
criticized.

I'm sure these new people, however many there really are, are
from the "One Mind Foundation" that regularly advertises here,
and are trying to defend it because it is a source of revenue for
them.

And ego-strokes. Yes, as difficult as it is to believe, there
are actually idiots out there who think these arrogant and mean
and bigoted people are enlightened.

I think they are dumb parrots who let some garbage document
do their thinking for them.

That's why I don't even bother reading their replies to me
any longer.

If you want to read the _real_ course in miracles, try
"The Nature of Personal Reality" by Jane Roberts.

It is actually written in clear, plain English (or whatever
language you are comfortable with) and there is no trace of
Biblical terminology or symbolism in it.

The Truth existed long before the Bible existed, and only
the ignorant make the mistake of confusing the real teachings
of Jesus with ACIM or the Bible.

I think people who come onto a group and start throwing stuff out like
Sidney does here are only looking for attention. Even if they get it in a
negative way.
Maybe it's the only way they can accept anything from others.

Probably true, I couldn't say for sure. But I wouldn't test the

Hop on your I believe train and enjoy the journey. No one's knocking
what you believe or hold valuable. Might be cool if you tried a
little of the same if for no other reason than to be open. No need to
buy into. Just don't step on. That's all. Not hard to do unless one
is a little insistant on being insanely stubborn.

:-) The fact that I won't play juvenile troll games with them
must drive these creepy religious zealots bonkers.

I wonder how many there actually are.

I mean, there just can't be this many idiots who believe
the garbage in ACIM and also have no lives and the personalities
of third-world despots.
