What about the body?

New Year's is a time when people traditionally make resolutions having
to do with the body. We join gyms, promise to start new diets or quit
smoking. We like the idea of improving our body because we think that
if we improve the body we improve "me", but is that true?

Tonight, we will look at the Holy Spirit's intrepretation of the body
based on "The Holy Spirit 's Interpretation of the New
Testament" (NTI). We will look at answers to questions like:

- Why does the Holy Spirit teach that the body is meaningless?

- How can the body be used to help me awaken?

If we have time, we might even find out what it means "to be born
again."

mind can be sick. Only the mind is in need of healing. Within the
course parameters, a healed mind would not use the body as a fence,
for the purpose of separation, but would use it as a communication
device, while words are still needed.

I remember a man at Lake Latrobe named Jim, who once told me that the
beauty I see in the physical universe is a reflection of the beauty of
the mind. That resonates with me.

It is not the body's eyes that see, nor the body's brain that thinks.

That's how I believe it, too. I don't think it's necessarily worthless
though (what seems like form). Not saying you meant this. We are choosing
to be in form- illusion as it may be, and it's showing us (us in the "in
general" way, overall) the state of our mind, at any given time. Like it
says "seek not to change the world but change your mind/thnking about it".
It just makes more sense to me than anything else I'd read or heard up
till then. Like "where are we, how did we get here, where do we go, where is
HERE" etc.
I think some get the idea it means to deny the world, close it out,
reject it, or something. Not have "things" in it. I don't think it says
this, just not to have our Peace (of God/Mind) depend on having "things" or
in a certain way. Jesus is quoted as saying "Seek first the Kingdom".
It all really is clear and simple. Seems like it was when I first got
the book(s) many years ago. And still is, when I remember it that way.
It's "in the world" now, so inevitable it will be used in other ways,
spun off into other groups, and changed to fit them. (I remember hearing how
Endeavor Academy stressed 'there is no world" and several people
(alledgedly) committed suicide because of this. Like what's the point of
staying alive, in a body. Of course, to them, if that made sense, it was
their choice. I'd rather hang around and see what else interesting happens
and I can learn about )
