"The "reality" of death is firmly rooted in the belief that God's Son is a body.
And if God created bodies, death would indeed be real. But God would not
be loving. There is no point at which the contrast between the perception of
the real world and that of the world of illusions becomes more sharply
evident. Death is indeed the death of God, if He is Love. And now His Own
creation must stand in fear of Him. He is not Father, but destroyer. He is not
Creator, but avenger. Terrible His Thoughts and fearful His image. To look
on His creations is to die.
"And the last to be overcome will be death." Of course! Without the idea of
death there is no world. All dreams will end with this one. This is
salvation's final goal; the end of all illusions. And in death are all illusions
born. What can be born of death and still have life? But what is born of God
and still can die? The inconsistencies, the compromises and the rituals the
world fosters in its vain attempts to cling to death and yet to think love real
are mindless magic, ineffectual and meaningless. God is, and in Him all
created things must be eternal. Do you not see that otherwise He has an
opposite, and fear would be as real as love?
Teacher of God, your one assignment could be stated thus: Accept no
compromise in which death plays a part. Do not believe in cruelty, nor let
attack conceal the truth from you. What seems to die has but been
misperceived and carried to illusion. Now it becomes your task to let the
illusion be carried to the truth. Be steadfast but in this; be not deceived by
the "reality" of any changing form. Truth neither moves nor wavers nor
sinks down to death and dissolution. And what is the end of death? Nothing
but this; the realization that the Son of God is guiltless now and forever.
Nothing but this. But do not let yourself forget it is not less than this."

Here is what GOD's word The Holy Bible says,
and as corroborated by The Edgar Cayce Readings:
2 CORINTHIANS 4
We look not at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen;
for the things which are seen are temporal,
but the things which are not seen are eternal.
GOD created matter, and he is going to decreate all of it
with FIRE on the day of The Great White Throne Judgment
(Revelation 20) in fulfillment of many passages of scripture
including (2 Peter 3) and (Hebrews 12) and (Haggai 2) and (1 John 2)
and Jesus' statement that heaven and earth would pass away
(see also Revelation 21 and 22 after fulfillment of same,
when only Spirit GOD and spirit Jesus and the spirit righteous
exist and inhabit heavenly etheric New Jerusalem for eternity).
Death?
When GOD, in the Garden of Eden, told Adam and Eve
that if they became knowledgeable about evil,
they would DIE, HE did not mean just on one level,
nor the physical level, nor did HE mean necessarily
immediately:

decay, become dust, entering into material conditions...
And as man's concept became to that point wherein man
walked not after the ways of the Spirit but after the
desires of the flesh SIN entered - that is, away from
the Face of the Maker, see? and death then became man's
portion, SPIRITUALLY, see? for the physical death existed
from the beginning; for to create one must die, see?
This DEATH spiritually / mentally, is The First Death,
preceding The Second Death which is etheric and occurs
in The Lake of Fire when Soul is separated from Spirit
and the individual no longer exists and never exists again.
When the wicked Spirit-Souls who preferred evil
rather than good are thus decreated in The Lake of Fire,
it is then that there shall be no more death of any sort.
But even one thousand years before that the righteous were
glorified by GOD and thus made non-amenable to death or
decreation in The Lake of Fire or any destruction.
Resurrected Jesus was the first-fruits of this new glorified
regenerated body, which accounted for him suddenly being in a
locked room, and suddenly ascending into the clouds above Mount Olives,
as it can be moved and materialized and dematerialized at will,
which Jesus himself prophesied would be able to come and go like
the wind (John 3) and described it as being angel-like and unable
to ever die again (Matthew 22)(Mark 12) (Luke 20).
So, death is totally real in three different forms:
1. Spiritual / Mental death;
2. Physical death;
3. Etheric death.
Regarding the latter:
MATTHEW 10
Do not be afraid of those who can only kill the body;
rather be afraid of the One who can destroy both the
body and the soul in hell (The Lake of Fire).
WHAT GOD CREATED, HE CAN DECREATE.
AND GOD WILL BE DECREATING THE WICKED SPIRIT-SOULS
THE DAY OF THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT.
GOD CANNOT LET THEM MAR HIS COSMOS AND
HATE AND HARM HIS RIGHTEOUS ONES FOREVER
AS TO DO SO WOULD BE CRUEL AND UNFAIR.
GOD'S PLAN AND PROGRAM FROM THE GET-GO
