Post by John RadgoskyPost by Sidney LambeI like your articles. Your writing style. Even if I don't quote or
reply to the entirety, I read it.
Sid
How very revealing.
"Okay, Carrie. I am getting tired of you repeating this garbage."
Uh ... 12 hours between them.
So , what does the objective observer conclude from these 2 ,
apparantly conflicting statements from
one person to another?.
Is it possible our Sid suffers from "dual or split-personality" ?
Probably not.
Or can it be our Sid is affected by some form of substance abuse which
results in
some kind of "Jeckyl-Hyde" symptoms ? Who knows. But probably not.
Or, can it be our Sid lacks a consistent thought process? Doubtful.
There is
an abundance of consistent inconsistency so that's a blind alley.
To me it looks like there is something simple to conclude.
On the one hand, Sid likes the writing style of another. Fair
enough. That's good of him
to acknowledge and to communicate to the other.
But at the same time the CONTENT of that writing is according to Sid,
"garbage". Ouch.
A nasty critique, wouldn't you say ?
And there you have it.
I don't know how anyone else might wish it to be for them, but for me
I would much rather
another find my content of some value with no concern at all for the
style by which it was
presented. Having both style AND content appreciated is ideal of
course, but one can
always disregard or ignore style as long as content has appeal
value.
But all of this i's just my personal opinion. And one I felt like
sharing.
Isn't it wonderful to just .. you know ... share ?
JR
I would rather discuss topics (ACIM or anything) and share about that,
So why don't you then ?
and
not get into personal opinions about the people writing them (or someone
else's judgement/ opinion about them)
Uh ? Opinion ? I quoted. Specifically. Then, objectively
analyzed. Content vs style.
Where is the opinion in any of that ?
So who's now delving into personal opinions? You about my post which
you just commented about ?
Can you be MORE hypocritical ? I doubt it.
But, we can't control how anyone else
is, or seems to be. We can learn from it, even if that's just to accept it,
If one lives with such an attitude, "just to accept it", one NEVER
needs to
learn anything ever again. If it is learned, it doesn't have to be
relearned with
every new experience, does it ? Unless one is completely stupid and
doesn't
know how to retain what has been ... uh ... "learned".
and make the peaceful choice not to tie in with it. If someone has already
decided I am a certain way, they are probably always going to see me that
way, no matter what I do, or try to do to change it.
Why are you turning this into any discussion about " you " ? There ya
go again.
As Sid has pointed out
to you, you can take it or leave it.-
Sid is ignorant by suggesting only limited choices.
He hasn;t pointed out other options. And so I chose one all by
myself.
So now the question has to be asked, why do you care, and why did you
feel you had to comment about it? Why didn't you just ... let it be
without
getting into it ? Why can't you take your own advice ?
reason is, your advice stinks and isn't worth following. If it were,
it would
be followed.
So now .... go to ACIM and see what IT has to say about this recent
post of yours.
Think about it.
