" Lesson 118 October 29, 1969

For morning and evening review:

105. "God's peace and joy are mine."

Today I will accept God's peace and joy
In glad exchange for all the substitutes
Which I have made for happiness and [rest].

106. "Let me be still and listen to the truth."

Let [my] own feeble voice be still, and let
Me hear the mighty Voice of truth itself
Assure me that I am God's perfect Son.

On the hour:
"God's peace and joy are mine."

On the half hour:
"Let me be still and listen to the truth." "

~ Original Handscript of ACIM

" Lesson 118 October 29, 1969
105. "God's peace and joy are mine."
Everything that exists has its ultimate source in God.
Thant includes peace and joy and sorrow and misery
and hatred and frustration and fear and delight and
envy.

The idea that God is perfect, beyond change, is
simply false.

God changes all the time. If there was no more new experience
for God, It would die, and so would everything else.

Depends on what you mean by that. If you mean
read the misnamed "course in miracles", which it
obviously does, then it's nonsense.

If you meant to free yourself from concepts and look
within, then that's good. But you don't, because
what you would discover is that most of ACIM
is simply wrong.

Are you saying that we (humans in form) continually create "God" with our
own thoughts, feelings, beliefs and experiences? God is whatever we think
it is, at the time?
I remember hearing that President Bush said he prayed and asked God
about starting to bomb Iraq and (I guess) was told to "do it". This doesn't
seem like anything God would tell someone to do. And, the Iraqis who fought
back apparently thought "God" was on their side, too.

exists. .

I said no such thing.

Forget about God. God can take care of Itself. It does not
intervene in human affairs. It gives us the gift of creativity.
What we do with it is up to us.

Yes, I agree (and I know it doesn't matter to you if I agree or not)
LOL
I see you trying to have a discussion with Lee, when he copy/pastes
here, and see this just doesn't happen. Maybe he just copy/pastes here and
doesn't read any responses.
His goal in life seems to be to make sure the course gets posted in
iambic pentameter and not in the formatt it was written in, in the edited
and published books.
Even though iambic pentameter seems choppy and hard to follow, to
me...
It seems to be an ego issue he is stuck on.

It's ideas that count, not the specific wording.

If an idea is false, then no matter how attractively you
word it, it remains false.
