I don't get the reverence given to a book, the Bible, which portrays
God as an ill tempered dysfunctional brutish vengeance seeking

one group of people over all others and who today claim the right to

My God doesn't think in such terms. Man created the concept of crime

I would still think it was personal perception. And no one really
knows WHAT Jesus saw and thought (at the time) The same with what
anyone sees and thinks. Only "my" perception of this.

For example, Jesus might (as you say) see an asshole. someone not
treating him well, but that same person might be seen as a loving
husband, father and friend by others.

Like some saw Jesus as Savior and teacher, a kind, gentle person.
And some (apparently) saw him as something else. A threat.

There's that line in the course about not trying to change the
world, but change your mind about it. And everything changes in
response to this.

That's my take on it, which is just that. I have seen (and been
tempted to see) people I have thought weren't kind, or friendly or
anyone I'd want to hang around with. Sometimes something has changed
my mind about this, and everything (including the person) seemed to
change. But it was just my mind that did.

I really believe that Jesus, if he was really enlightened/
Awakened, would be advanced enough not to see anyone as less tha
Perfect (Child of God) no matter what they were doing to him. That
seems to be the lesson. He could be seen as being mistreated, even his
body killed, but he showed it was all illusion, and only the Love is/
was real.

If he believed that, I don't think he would be seeing anyone as
"less than" (Perfect)

I don't think there are such things. If we are all One, and One with God,
and the Sonship, and this is Perfect, everything else is more like ego
distractions that gets in the way of Truth. Even if there was "time" it
probably wouldn't matter now, and no one has any way of really knowing WHAT
Jesus thought of saw. We can go by the course. Or "Raj" who says he is
author of it, who says there are evil peoiple in the world we need defense
against and the world is in need of changing (which seems like a direct
contradition of the course, he says he is author of). All of this doesn't
really m atter, in the overall scope of things, does it?
Only the Love is Real, and all that I give/do is given/done to myself.
My Peace (of God), feeling this or not, being aligned with Source (Seek fist
the Kingdom) is all that really matters.
But, we have gotten into a discussion here, and that's a joining of
sorts. Whatever we feel it is for.
("we" in this case, being those who seem to be participating in the
discussion)

The day is full of such opportunities. So the absence or presence of
